1. Eucalyptus

2. Tea Tree

Although tea tree oil has not been long studied in a scientific sense, it has been used by various cultures throughout the world for quite a long time. The scent of tea tree is quite similar to nature to eucalyptus and is known to clear the sinuses in a way which is unparalleled by many other essential oils. It is also known to kill bacteria and lessen inflammation.

3. Lavender

Lavender is a classic floral aroma with well-known astringent qualities that cut through mucus and inflammation.

4. Peppermint

Peppermint oil is also known to reduce inflammation and provide a similar chilling effect as eucalyptus or tea tree oil. This oil combines quite well with lavender and together they provide a heavenly scent. Lemon is also a common additive.
